When crumpling paper, the behavior seems intentional at first glance, but if you look at each of the wrinkles that come in, you can see that they are happening outside of our intentions.
Wrinkles have results that are independent of our will.
Although it is artificial to "crumple", the wrinkles generated by the laws of nature (algorithms) cannot be reproduced, so it also has live performance. It is impossible to unfold a piece of crumpled paper and put it back in exactly the same state.
KENTO HASHIGUCHI evaluated the crumpled result (wrinkles) as a kind of generative design (algorithmic design) and announced the 2021 2nd collection "crumple".
The material used in crumple is a 3-layer fabric of nylon-aluminum sheet-mesh.
The fabric has a water repellent effect (it is not completely waterproof due to the seams) and is made with a special pattern that creates a gap between the front and back fabrics. Since the inner pattern is made a little smaller than the outer pattern, the outer material has plenty of space even if you put something in it, and the wrinkle feeling is maintained.
The aluminum sheet embodies the wrinkle feeling like paper.
With each use, the aluminum sheet becomes soft due to metal fatigue, wrinkles change, and you can enjoy the unique design.
In addition, the degree to which the transition of the design can be seen differs depending on the color of the fabric.
For the silver-white one, the decadent aluminum sheet can be seen through the transparent white nylon fabric.
On the other hand, the black fabric cannot see through the aluminum sheet.

Sakosh is simple but has a crumpled presence.
It is possible to put the minimum necessary items in a wallet or smartphone with plus α (sunglasses, lips, wireless earphones, keys, etc.).
Because it has a gusset, it can be stored more than it looks, but it looks compact.
As mentioned above, wrinkles are maintained even if you put something inside.
The length of the shoulder strap can be adjusted steplessly (64 to 127 cm).
You can change the length by pulling on the two knots. In addition, you can untie the knot of the string, so you can enjoy arranging how to tie it yourself.
Due to the characteristics of the fabric, it can be rolled into small pieces, making it convenient for storage.

A tote bag with an avant-garde design that combines the leather handle and the crumpled body.

We aimed for a width that is neither too thin nor too thick. Even with a laptop computer in it, it can store a charging cable, about two new books, and a folding umbrella.
The length of the handle is adjusted so that it is easy to use whether you are holding it or hanging it on your shoulder. The handle is made of leather, so the more you use it, the softer it becomes, and the more you enjoy using it for a long time. The old handle can be replaced.
The crumple series is light and can be rolled into small pieces due to the characteristics of the fabric, making it convenient for storage.

A backpack made based on the classic line "picnic bag".
The M size is a size that can be used daily, and there is no problem with the luggage required for daily commuting, and even the luggage for one night and two days can be stored compactly.
The L size can store luggage for 2 to 3 days, and is useful for business trips, travel, and situations where there is a lot of luggage.
There is a zipper on the back side, so you can put in and take out some things from the side without opening and closing the upper cover.
We recommend that you store frequently used items in the front pocket.
We are particular about how to attach the shoulder straps so that the excess straps will not flutter even if the length is adjusted.

Repeat wrinkling work, smoothing work, and fine adjustment, and fix it in the board in the state that you feel is the best at that time, and maintain that state. It is for us to evaluate wrinkles generated by the laws of nature (algorithms) while being artificial.
The artboard itself can be self-supporting. Changed the metal fittings on the back of the forehead from genuine to hang it on the wall. Two thumbtacks can be installed straight against the wall. Therefore, there are traces of metal fittings on the back, but this will not affect the exhibition.
